In 1984 a book by Adolf Rudnicki A Hundred Years Ago Dostoyevsky Died (Sto lat temu umarł Dostojewski) was published (uncensored) by Publishing House “Przedświt”. The author in Postscriptum II (dated September 1982) explained that the last word “of that meditation” was written in September 1981. And immediately added: “Today, a year later, my negotiations with the publishing house continue. From time immemorial my every text has to slalom like that.” The official edition was published in Cracow by Wydawnictwo Literackie in 1989. A Hundred Years Ago Dostoyevsky Died is by all means an important position among Rudnicki’s works.
